Rosella infused Creamy Raw Honey 220g

Our Rosella infused honey is great for desserts, used as a spread or just eaten by the spoonful (great pick-me-up)

We grow and process the Rosella here on our farm in the Northern Rivers of NSW. Due to this the batches are limited. Each year we are adding more Rosella plants to keep up with demand.

Facts about the Rosella

Rosellas (also known as Hibiscus Sabdariffa) are a type of hibiscus growing wild across the top end of Australia on the fringes of rainforests and in the sand dunes.

Rosella was not originally native to Australia; they were introduced thousands of years ago from Africa. Nonetheless, the shiny red calyx fruit were used by Indigenous Australians for generations as a form of nourishment and medicine, given their high antioxidant properties.

Planted during spring as the weather warms up, rosellas are harvested through March and April.

  • Rosella has extremely high levels of flavonoids and antioxidants such as Vitamin C
  • Rosella is high in minerals including calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium and iron.
  • Rosella is also a great source of protein
